A rare & colorful Heirloom Variety originating in the city of Kiskunfélegyháza in Hungary.

If you’re looking for an ornamental pepper plant with dramatic dark and rich colors, the best choice is our Black Hungarian Chilli Peppers.

Unique, plant bearing black-colored fruit with delicate purple flowers blooming among the chilies makes it very ornamental.

They are mildly hot (5,000 to 10,000 SHUs) and have a delicious flavor. The pods are about the size of a Jalapeno and ripen from very dark purple to red. As this chili ages into maturity, it morphs from dark to a jewel tone red. During the process, the black Hungarian pepper becomes two-toned – shiny black and rich red. They are beautiful to watch as they age.

Growing Peppers are like tomatoes, require well-drained fertile soil. Plant the seeds in good, well-drained, fertile soil and place them in a location where the get lots of sunlight. Watering a good inch of per week ensure high even yield. Apply fish fertilizer once every, chili plant loves fish fertilizer and they grow crazy tall and yielding super long peppers.
