An extremely rare, jewel toned old heirloom variety dating back to 1845, Bloody Butcher corn has been around for generations.
The name Bloody Butcher refers to the flecks of blood-red kernels, like a butcher's apron. A stunning, ornamental and edible variety corn growing 12’ tall with 8-12” reddish maroon ears. Intensely colorful kernels can be ground into flour and cornmeal while still being edible when young and eaten like a sweet corn.
